Since 1994, when she began her work as an interior designer, Sigrid has become an award winning designer specializing in luxury kitchen and bath design and bespoke millwork for residential projects. Her designs can be found in the finer homes in the greater Toronto area and further afield in exotic locations such as the island of Mauritius.
Sigrid is a long-standing member of the Association of Registered Interior Designers of Ontario (ARIDO), Interior Designers of Canada (IDC) and the National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA). She holds the highest level of design certification, Certified Master Kitchen and Bath Designer (CMKBD) as awarded by the NKBA. Sigrid believes in giving back to the industry that she has spent most of her career working in. She is an active member and dedicated volunteer for the NKBA Ontario Chapter where she has served as President (2009, 2010, 2011), Chapter Representative for (2006, 2007, 2008), Vice President of Government Relations (2005) and currently serves as Vice President of Academic Relations.
Sigrid graduated with a diploma in Interior Design from Fanshawe College in London, Ontario. After graduation she continued her education at the University of Toronto where she studied Fine Art History and Architecture. Sigrid sits on the Advisory Committee for the Kitchen and Bath Design Program (KBDE) at Georgian College in Barrie, Ontario.
Journalism has become another outlet for Sigrid’s creativity. When she is not busy designing Sigrid enjoys writing about lifestyles and design for various publications and is a regular contributor to Homefront Magazine. Her two columns “Bella cucina” (kitchens) and “Liquid Assets” (bathrooms) showcase the latest trends and products from around the globe.
